CHEVROLET DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS
Your Chevrolet vehicle is equipped with a range of dashboard warning lights to let you know when something needs your attention. Here's a quick overview of some of these lights and what to do if one appears on your dashboard.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
Also known as the Malfunction Indicator Lamp, this light is designed to look like an engine. When you see this light, it means there is a problem with the emissions system or engine. If the light flashes or stays on, you should get your vehicle serviced at a service department.Â

CHARGING SYSTEM
If you see an image of a car battery with plus and minus symbols, you could have a problem with your charging system. There could be a drain on the battery if the light stays on, so have it checked by service technicians.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR
This light appears as a tire's cross section with an exclamation mark in the center. This indicator could mean that at least one of your tires is underinflated, which could cause a blowout. Check the tire pressure and inflate the tire as necessary.Â

OIL PRESSURE
When this light appears, there could be a serious problem with your engine's oil. If the light stays on, take your vehicle to a service department as soon as possible.Â

TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM/STABILITRAK® LIGHT
This light looks like a car driving down a curvy road. It should appear briefly when you start your engine and then flash. If the indicator comes on and stays on, there could be a problem with the system, so have it inspected.

BRAKE SYSTEM OR ABS WARNING LIGHT
If you see a warning light that has ABS or an exclamation mark, it means there could be an issue with your brakes. Whether you have low brake fluid, worn brake pads or worse, you should take your vehicle in for service.
We at H&H Chevrolet hope you will pay attention to your Chevrolet warning lights and take your vehicle to our service department as needed. Whether you need routine maintenance or more extensive service, our service team is here to help.Â
