Position Summary
Our busy, fast-paced H&H Chevrolet Parts Department is seeking a driven, team-oriented Automotive Parts Counter Specialist. In this role, you will act as the core link between our service technicians, retail guests, and wholesale accounts. You will use your deep catalog knowledge and excellent communication skills to look up, pull, and sell genuine General Motors (GM) and ACDelco parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Assist retail, wholesale, and phone customers with finding the exact parts and accessories they need.
- Technician Assistance: Provide prompt service to our internal shop technicians to ensure vehicles are repaired efficiently.
- System Management: Utilize the Dealer Management System (DMS) and GM Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) to track inventory, invoice orders, and log sales.
- Inventory Control: Handle daily stock checks, check in incoming parts shipments, process special orders, and manage core/warranty returns.
- Department Upkeep: Maintain a clean, professional counter area and ensure parts storage remains organized and safely accessible.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an automotive parts role (dealership environment preferred).
- Technical Skills: Experience with automotive catalog systems and DMS platforms (such as DealerBuilt, CDK, or Dealertrack).
- Core Competencies: High attention to detail, sharp communication skills, and a strong customer-first attitude.
- Physical Ability: Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift automotive components weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Screening: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
