Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Entry-Level Lube Technician to join our Certified Service team. In this role, you will be the foundation of our express maintenance department, performing high-quality routine maintenance on passenger cars, trucks, and luxury SUVs. No extensive commercial experience is required-we welcome graduates of high school/college automotive programs or individuals coming from quick-lube chains. We provide ongoing paid training to help you work toward your GM and ASE certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance including draining engine oil, replacing oil filters, and refilling to precise manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct multi-point safety inspections under the hood and undercarriage, looking out for fluid leaks, worn belts, or cracked hoses.
- Check and top off vital vehicle fluids including brake, power steering, transmission, coolant, and windshield washer fluids.
- Handle tire services such as checking and adjusting tire pressure, performing tire rotations, and inspecting tread depth for wear.
- Replace basic maintenance components like engine air filters, cabin filters, and windshield wiper blades.
- Document all performed work accurately on repair orders and communicate clear details to Service Advisors regarding any required secondary repairs.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness by keeping your assigned bay clean, organized, and free of hazards, while safely operating vehicle lifts and tools.
- Protect customer property by ensuring all vehicles remain clean and tidy during service.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Completion of a high school or college automotive training program is highly preferred.
- Experience: Prior professional shop experience is not required, but basic knowledge of automotive mechanics, garage tools, and equipment is essential.
- License: A valid driver's license with a clean, acceptable driving record is mandatory to safely move customer vehicles around the lot and service bays.
- Physical Demand: Ability to stand for long periods, walk through busy service environments, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Attributes: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced team environment.
- Screening: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a routine pre-employment screening/drug test.
